High-impact floors are durable and stand up to impact from other materials, whether they have dropped tools on manufacturing floors, scalpels on an operating room floor, or the unremitting tap from high heels. These types of impact will typically indent and gouge a floor or shorten its lifespan.
A uniform surface onto which a toy can be dropped from a specific height to simulate potential harm that might result from a toy falling from a crib, table, counter or other impact circumstance. The toy is checked after testing for any potential dangers, such as sharp edges, sharp points, and small pieces.
